Just a question.
Do you need Swap Magic to work PS2 games?
Is there any free alternative?

Some type of modification is required to play PS2 backups, either a modchip, using a hard drive & HDLoader, or via swap method (Swap Magic / PS2 Independence Exploit).

Performing the exploit is reasonable alternative to Swap Magic, however you will need an original PSX game, original PS2 game, USB storage device, and a retail copy of Codebreaker/Action Replay Max.
