of course you do own the original copy of the game and i presume you cant figure out how to back it up yourself right ;)

the files look like WinRAR achives, once downloaded extract the files and report back of what's in them

you need DVD+R DL to burn the game - preferably verbatim

Currently on my 7th PS3 and 4th Xbox, gotta love technology..

it means that it will extract the iso to the same folder of the rar files but you can choose another folder

right click ,extract files ,then choose the destination that you want

Did you flash the DVD drive on you 360 yet? You aren't playing any burned game until you do that.

I disagree with all of your comments but will just address the latter...Going by your "im equal with seniors here" in your signature this would mean you should know that downloading is not illegal. This is the internet and people ALL over the world post here and their laws differ from where you might be from so I think we can understimate you.

His post is fine. As long as when you click that link it DOES NOT start downloading anything (torrent or iso). That link TAKES you to a site that has a torrent but it is not hotlinked here.

You are right, downloading may not be illegal everywhere, but if you purchased an xbox, you then agreed to comply with M$'s restrictions on it, including not modifying their hardware ... but aside from all that, why download and spend ALL that time trying to get an illegal copy when you can get games from ebay or get them used on gamestop? Its the people hwo make MS up their security and don't buy the games who also make the prices go up because you don't contribute to MS ... lame!

Maybe I'm missing something here.... but you jump up on your soapbox and start preaching about how modifing the xbox and downloading is illegal... yet you go by "Gr8Modder" and claim to have the modding skills of senior members??? What's your problem?

We absolutely can, but wouldn't you agree that downloading games, modding your xbox, and circumventing security measures are all things that would in turn increas the prices of games and systems? If companies like MS & Sony didn't have to put these measures in place, then they would spend less money on research & dev to prevent people like the ones in this forum from doing what they want to do!

And anyways, with all the time wasted in trying to get it to work, and then the money for the DL coasters and the workable discs, you could have already been playing the game if you just bought it!

360 Mods is a website that is all about modding your Xbox 360, so that you can play backups. They have video tutorials, and have a PDF file, that goes through the whole process of modding your 360. I would go here if you need any help with understanding Flashing your System etc. This place has helped me a whole lot.

No problem smlvfx. As for Gr8Modder I wish I would have had the pleasure of removing you from here with your hypocritical and nonsensical babble. Anyway back to the underlying subject

Honestly, if I paid for something it is mine and I have the right to do with it as I please, if I want to take it to the gun range and shoot at it I can do so....it is mine plain and simple. Example: I have a modded xbox that I use as a media center since I really don't like Xbox titles. In my opinion most of the games don't do much for me but as a media center it has much more worth than a gaming system and that has absolutely nothing to do with backups etc. but in order to have it that way it needs a modchip. So while people use it for backups and the like most of the time there are people like me who use it for other things.

Poor MS and sony i am sure they would love to lower our costs if we just didn't force them to work so hard in dev... Thats a joke! I am sure we refer to MS as M$ for a reason. This post is BS and has nothing at all to offer the person who started this thread, whom I am glad we were able to help out. I am surprised you were not removed like our friend gr8ape.

You're absolutely right, I do agree with you ... modding to gain functionality is one thing, not much different than changing the stock stereo and speakers in your car or changing a door on your house. BUT, and the BIG but is, if you go out and steal that car stereo, or, umm, buy it from some guy in a trench coat on the corner of 23rd and main at midnight, then, isn't that wrong? Wouldn't that make it so that the vendors of that stereo have to increase security of where they keep their product to prevent people from stealing it, thus increasing the prices? Sure, there's some people out there who may want to just play a backup, but please, be real, most people on here who say they want to make a backup are only making a backup either from their friend's friend's copy, or they are making it from a ripped copy from some group like the DS team or something. All this encouraging illegal use of the jacked, umm, Backed up, copies of games is what makes them so expensive in the first place! I just wish this site hd more on modding and the games and alot less of newbs trying to jack games, or trying to mod their box when they don't even know how to search the forum for instructions to do it ... Lame!

Think of how many millions of people worldwide have xbox 360 consoles (10.4 millions is what I found). Now think of how many people are able and willing to do this mod. Then beyond the mod they have to go through a tricky backup process and/or have access to download sites. Seriously- I mean I have to get some sansung drive form overseas or do some hotswapping of the disks just to make a copy? the percentages of people doing this must be small. Plus the 360 is still very hot and being sold all the time - so MS is making plenty of cash on the 360 and the blockbusters and gmaestops, and gameflys are selling and renting many games. Hell I have 4 blockbusters by my house and they all have the same games. Another point to make is that many people don't buy games they rent them and complete them and return them.

So the modding being done to these 360s are really not hurting these people as bad as you want to think and maybe if they sold games at 20 bucks a pop people would buy versus rent/steal/download/borrow from friends
