How do I check the firmware of the unit to make sure I can downgrade it and what firmware can I downgrade past is it 2.81? Also are all motherboards compatibable now or do I need to check for that to? Thanks!

Go into system settings menu and view system information it will tell you what firmware it is.

If it is 2.80 or lower it can be downgraded.
