I hope someone can help me here this is doing my head in.

Basically i have a dbox sagem, i am on NTL, and using snapshot image i think, my box was working perfect until my bro tried a rescan, now i am missing sky sports, movies, e4, ch5, and some others.

I have tried to rescan is 4 times on 6887 with fast scan off, but it just doesnt seem to pick up these channels.

Can anyone give me any advice at all on how to get all channels back.

Thanks alot

You could try deleting your services.xml file then scanning again, or flash your box with a new image (Sportster or Commando).

Beyond that, your guess is as good as mine!

try this

ftp to the box

go to tuxbox/config/zapit

is their a file called myservices.xml (not services.xml) - if yes delete it

all missing channels will re-appear

FTP = file transfer protocol, basically it allows your to navigate the file structure of the DBox - similair to Windows Explorer.

yes you will need to connect it to the pc via a cross over network cable or thru a hub/switch using a standard straight-thru cable

also you need to ensure the dbox and pc are on the same subnet for the IP Address

so if PC is set to 192.168.1.1

then the DBox should be set to 192.168.1. this number anything up to 254 but not the same number as the PC (if that makes sense)
