Do I need a pioneer 111d to backup my 360 games?
I just got the samsung to read the games and while I'm waiting, I was just wondering whether I need to purchase a pioneer 111d.

its a good burner but not a needed as long as you have a dual layer burner that can be booktyped

no the samsung is a rom drive only ...in other words READER ONLY

in simple def: booktype is to bitset your dvd media to be recognized by other dvd read as a ROM media.

when you burn your DVD+R DL media, the lead-out process will bitset this to be ROM.
