Where's Indianapolis? I thought they had an old yard made of bricks where big kids played with cars. Now they're racing young horses I guess. LOL

What's wrong with the burn? RI4M doesn't have much to do with that. Transcoder quality might be due to how you set Shrink and the burner is optional. We need to know how the burn is bad though before we can be sure what to tell you.

i burned just the movie with ri4m and in the beginning of the movie it showed a frozen pic of a scene at the end and also about 10 minutes from the end of the movie it froze up with the same pic..so i didn't get the end. if that makes sense to you...thanks

First off RI4M doesn't burn. All it does is clean up the copy protection and open the video files in DVD Shrink. The initial quick analysis in Shrink checks for DVD compliance. After that you should be able to close Shrink and RI4M and use the files in any transcodre or encoder and burn with your choice of burning software. If you use Shrink for transcoding, the files are already open, so you may as well go ahead and transcode. But at this point RI4M is no longer in play. You transcode with shrink and burn with a Shrink supported software or record to the HD and burn from there.
There's a few things that could cause your problem. Not getting all the copy protection out, a faulty rip, dodgy media, or compression errors are all possible causes. Try recording the video to the HD using Quality Settings and record from there. That way you can check the files on the HD for errors to see if you're getting the same on both HD and DVD.

If you can't find it here at AD, doom9 has it in their downloads. You should have had the latest version when you installed RI4M. There are no new updates for it or Shrink. They lost support a long time ago.

I just noticed Slysoft has updated AnyDVD to 6.1.1.3, which is supposed to help with the current problems. At least with CloneDVD it's supposed to be doing full backups again. As you know, a lot of times doing movie only cuts out the problem copy protection. I don't think too many people really complain much because the purpose of the backup is to watch the movie on a recordable so the original doesn't get destroyed. There's not too many DVDs the extras are worth keeping anyway.
