i used xbc to create a .dvd file and a .iso file

i have read the guides and no-one ever talks about booktyping the media and when i go to the WRITE section under xbc it says "besure to set your drive/media to booktype DVD-rom if you are using an older firmware" and i know the 360 wont read the disk if it isnt booktyped to DVD-rom

i know i need to booktype my DVD+R DL's to DVD-rom but am not sure how to do this using xbc or clone - (i have a LG GSA-4163B burner)

also, has anyone used xbc to write their .dvd file and if so was it successful?

my .dvd file is only 1kb - is this normal?

can anyone help?

thanks

Currently on my 7th PS3 and 4th Xbox, gotta love technology..

There has been many threads about this same question...
ive answered this question 3 times today..
ill help ya ouy :)

follow this guide. its accurate and reliable

1. This tutorial assumes that you have a working ISO to burn
2. Put in a Blank DVD+R or DVD+RW Disk into your DVD Burner
3. Open up the DVD Decrypter
4. Select your dvd burner
5. Click on Mode > ISO > Write To see your current settings
6. Right click on the destination box which has your burner selected then highlight and select "Change Book Type":
7. Then select your respected burner's name which are on the tabs:
8. The Change For is basically what media you want to change to DVD-ROM, (i.e For DVD+R Media, For DVD+RW Media)
9. Now for New Setting: which you should select "DVD-ROM":
10. Click on the "Change" button, which will then show a Success pop up window
11. Click on "OK" to close the "Change Book Type" window

oh and bout the .dvd file:

go to the game directory and right click on the .dvd file and choose open with notepad

the name of .iso should be the same name as the iso name in the notepad

and i dont know if it should be 1 kb....i thought it was somewhere around 7 or 8
