Any inputs as to why i cant flash the systemctrl.prx even though its in the REFLASH folder.
Recieving a read error i would understand if the reflash folder wasnt there but it is ?? any ideas
Thanks

Hey Bro also tried that didnt work even tried renaming the prx in all caps just to confirm its
systemctrl.prx or SYSTEMCTRL.PRX
Anything else to try !!
Because i noticed the error message before was a read error ms0:/recovery/systemctrl.prx [When i didnt have the .prx file which is understandable]
But now i do and still recieve the same message coupled with :
A flash0:/kd/systemctrl.prx - read error
Does that mean the .prx also has to be located on the psp's flash

the problem of your psp is you didn't restart it manualy ....because i f you did you get the blue screen to restore the settings and i think thats why your psp is not working because it doesn't know how to start there are no setting stored!! or the flash0 flash1 been damaged by the upgrade....i have a descussion in another forum about this problem, so if i get any news i will post it ok ...

i also tried my own memory stick it didnt work or shall i try the reflash as well on a new memory stick
Nah didnt work tried a reflash folder on a new sony mem stick didnt work
So whats the theory behind restoring the flash files how would you do that in recovery mode ??
Because its fairly limited as to what you can do
Thanks

maybe a solution ... just right after you push the X button to launch the update, press the brightness button for around 5 secs (screen will go blank) then after 5-10 secs push it again
make sure you have this settings:
Now once you have that, do this:
Disable: NoUMD, Atuorun EBOOT
ENABLE: 1.50 kernel homebrew from GAME folder
Click on ADVANCED?>FLASH systemctrl.prx(1.50)
Then, reboot the PSP into recovery mode again
Click on the third option. When the text comes up, click X to procede. Once the flashing is complete, reboot your PSP and you should be good to go!

SOrry bro you lost me with the brightness settings stuff please elborate
make sure you have this settings: "which settings" ??
Disable: NoUMD - currently disabled
Atuorun program blah blah EBOOT - disabled
ENABLE: 1.50 kernel homebrew from GAME folder - Did that just now
Click on ADVANCED?>FLASH systemctrl.prx(1.50) - Same Error
ust right after you push the X button to launch the update - this the recover eboot option right. Shall i use your recovery folder the one with dxar file or shall i use a 1.5 UPDATE eboot instead ??
Thing to note like you said my psp is baffed on how to start when i ever i click any run program @ eboot.pbp to recover it just goes blank with no text and i assume it tries running something but has no idea how to..
Thanks
