you dont want to use an IDE, you need sata which is listed as SCSI and what you have looks like its a virtual drive, is that virtually mounted using Nero? if so you need a sata card or you need to hex edit your chipset...

Did you even read the whole thread for adding your two cents? I stated before that it was mounted from Nero and I am asking wither or not I can hex edit the drive I have.

snowman54 => sorry but I afraid you will not be able to use hex edit for the mounted device because when you boot up from a floppy, it will not see this mounted device. Only when you go into windows, Nero will mount this device and make it available.

I will keep my eyes open for a cheap via sata card for you. I will let you know when I find one that is faily affordable/cheap that is also compatible.

give me a couple of days I will do some searching for you. what price range including shipping are you looking to spend?

Dont worry about it man I just went and payed to get it flashed at a shop, Seemed worth it. But now I don't have the original firmware

i would also like to know how to firmware my drive and could i use the same connectors that connect my cd drives and dvd drives ect. to connect my toshiba-samsung drive
