Quite Frankly, I don't actually believe in this crap,...on my experience, My station is a V9 (50006), I bough it pre-used for 2-3 years...got the laser screwed due to over-adjusting the pots, had it replaced with a new one...it's been a year and I haven't had any problems since then. I play a lot of games, I rip all my games unto HDL through my Station, I watch DVD movies, yet no problems. On an average, before I got my HDD, my brother slugs it out with FFXII for around 8 hours straight. And Mind you all my games are Re-copied games...and its cheap media...So I believe in this...if your laser's gonna go...it's gonna go...What's the use of being cautious and all,...the ps2's made to bang...so make the most out of it.

-Cheers!-
