I have been looking and looking for ways to bypass the windows activation. I have been having this problem for awhile, i keep having to re-format and re-format my hard drive every 30 days. At first my computer had windows 2000, then I used my brothers Windows XP installation CD. And have been installing over and over like I said. What I want to know is there ANY way that I can get past this for free. Or is there ANYTHING I can do to get by this. I have called Microsoft over and over and have called HP over and over, nothing works.

Ok Ok I understand, but you know that windows Xp versions cost somewhere between 99-300 bucks. and really I didn't have a choice my hard drive crashed with windows 2000 and it XP was my only option......

there's no way to bypass the activation wizard
but
rather than getin a retail copy-which is much more expensive
try gettin windows genuine advantage (WGA) copy..its much more cheaper
you will still use the same copy of windows,but u'll receive a new product key and its legal..!!
but,points to keep in mind wga copy acts just like an oem copy

The next time you or YOUR FRIENDS computer neeeds reformating, Before you begin use winkey light to make sure you have the right key number and then go to windows system 32 files , find wpa.dbl and copy it to a flopy or cd. then when you reinstall xp copy wpa.dbl back to system32 and you will bypass registation. Make sure the key is for the right os ---home --or pro--
