The rapidshare website doesn't have a bandwidth limit. If you want to download it and email it out then good luck.

All Starview boxes went down at about 10:00 today. To get the box up and running again the best ways seems to be updatng the starview box by linking it to your PC (using a null modem cable £10.00 if not supplied with box)

Once linked a piece of software called GT Loader is used to open a file called STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api.bin.
The file can be got from Fekker's link in starview threads that are running above and below this thread.
My prob is getting the GT Loader software which hopefully for anyone else came with box 'cos I have googled to get copy and can't find one. My mate is brining his disc copy for me tomorrow
I think there is a way to change the codes usig the remote in the "Secret Menu" Nagravision sub menu. Press Menu then 1570 to acces it from main screen. The manual change using the remote I am piecing together from various threads and wld only be brave enough to try it on my own box NEVER to recommend anyone elae try it (I AM STILL A NEWBIE!!!) Fekker has a link to key files in a thread running at top of list also.

Hi, new to this forum. I have the GT loader software and the new bin file. When i try to download it to my starview box with "app file only" selected on GT loader, it says I have the wrong STB code???anyone help me with what should be put in here?

I've gone and got the cable and downloaded the loader. The is a rar file with it that is supposed to be the bin file but when I click to extract it it seems to be empty. Am I doing something wrong. Could someone please PM me the bin file.

Don't think you can PM a file - you need to go the link that fekker set up on rapidshare - keep an eye on the time til next download and refresh site at that point to pick up bin file. any probs let me know

the key part is the (or wait 52 minutes)
You have to re-visit and refresh this page until the minutes is at 1 and on ther next refresh you will be allowed to download the file. If you are lucky the wait will not be too long. It is effectively a queing system to get the file for free .

I have done what you said but at no point am I getting a message telling me that I have reached the download limit, It just says no premium user then a download code and Special-offer extended until 31.1.2007
If you are getting bored no worries.

According to Fekker's notes the link has both the loader called GTRom v4.00.exe and the update file which is called STAR VIEW_26012007_257eE_api.bin after linking PC & Dbox with the cable that you can see on this weblink http://www.cabling4less.co.uk/Data_Cables.php (4th picture down) you double click the icon for the loader file you have copied and saved to PC. This will then open up an application that asks for the bin file. You then click download and within 2 mins your box is updated, you disconnect the cable and re-connect to NTL cable and all channels are back !!
