I made a backup of my fifa world cup germany, patched it with a download security sector file, all went well, burned it using xbox backup creator, works perfect. But it did warn me that the game wasnt patched with DMI and PFI, do i need these, what exactly are they for?

All 3, but you can go on Live anyway with just the ss.bin file. Basically, if the backup works, you can go on live with it.
i think you need the patched dmi and pfi along with the ss file in order to be all stealth for live.... go to
http://ss.softmodfiles.net/index.php and you will find most of the pfi dmi and ss files if you need them.
Ok, the link you posted has some ss.bin files for xbox games, I want to backup halo 1 which is a PAL uk version, but the one on the site says "halo PAL aus ss", does this mean is for the australian version or something?
