Hi,

I bought a modded 360 from a friend but he doesn't know exactly how it was modded (he got it done professionally). Is there anyway for me to check exactly what he did to it? Does the method I use to burn my backups depend on the type of mod I have? Also, what is generally the most popular and effiecient of the 3 methods for burning backups?

1. power up your xbox and determine which type of dvd drive you have
3. open up your xbox 360
4. check dvd rom drive, if there is not a chip attached, then it is a firmware mod
5. if sammy, the it is xtreme firmware flash

most famous way to burn:
- use samsung dvd rom sh-d162c drive (from ebay $60 USD)
- use schtrom and sata cable to read the game
- use cloneCD to burn it using verbatim DVD+R DL also booktype to ROM

eject the dvd and then compare the tray. you need to google "xbox 360 dvd type"

It will tell you which type you have by comparing the picture of the tray.
