Problem with torrent movie

i downloaded step up off of torrents (as a backup)and so then it gave me alot of WinRAR files that says stepup<img> and some files that end with r30 as the file extension i do not know what i have to do with them
thanks for any help

have you ever used WinRAR? have you ever used WinZIP? these are programs that compress files, so what you need to do is unrar the file, what you have posted tell's me that you have a img file, and you can open this file with DVD Shrink and burn with Nero. or any burning program will, imgburn will handle this file, no need to convert this file, also next time for torrent question's would be better asked in windows p2p software forums, good luck

can you just go with the story haha ......
well i have used win rar before but that did explain these other werid files and it takes forever to unzip the these i didnt even get through one yet a( yesterday) because i cancled it after like a half hour when it wasnt even 50% done and there are like 3409234932842 of these

yah i would have to agrea with jvc on this why would you not use the dvd for a backup insted of geting a torrent, because you would know that with the orignal dvd that you would have a good start as far as quailty, also you have a img file with your torrent that is one of the best kind of format, as far as torrent's, so we arn't geting the whole picture here, good luck

there must be something wrong with your system if it takes over ten min to extract a img file,what are your specs of your system? also how big is the img file? probley shouldn't be any bigger thain 4.47 gb, that way you can just burn to disk, without having to convert the file, are you trying to do other thing's while you are extracting your file?

Well there are multiple files to extract and they take like 5 minutes to 10 minutes for them to extract each .....But I found this site that I guess hosts movies , tv shows , cartoons , and Asian movies.

Torrent files are uploaded into RAR parts. It makes it easier to file transfer a torrent this way. If you downloaded a 4GB DVD from a torrent and it was not split into parts and you had a problem downloading the torrent file correctly then you would have to redownload the complete 4GB file. If it is in RAR parts then you would only have to download the part of the torrent file that was corrupt.
To help explain I will tell you how a torrent file is made. First you start with the source file (ISO/IMG/VCD/SVCD/AVI/DVD FOLDERS)
Lets say you have a 4GB DVD ISO that you want to upload as a torrent file. The correct way to make a torrent is adding the 4GB ISO into WinRAR and choose STORE as the compression method (This means no compression will be added it is just storing the ISO into the RAR file)
You then will split the ISO to 50,000,000 bytes size parts. Which will make multiple RAR files...
Example.r01
Example.r02
Example.r03
Example.r04
Etc. Etc.
Now lets say the torrent file has 40 parts (Example.r01 through Example.r40)
All you need to do is choose the Example.r01 file to extract and the rest of the other 39 parts will automatically extract with the first part creating the 4GB ISO DVD file that was made with WinRAR.
So if you highlight all the RAR parts or you extract each file separately you are extracting the DVD ISO file 40x since there are 40 RAR files in the torrent (You will have 40 ISO images of the same torrent file at 4GB a piece). Each RAR file is connected together and they all do not need to be highlighted or extracted separately. All you need to do is choose the first RAR file in the torrent.
I hope this makes sense for you and clears some things up. So go to the above link I gave before if you would like images to guide you on how to do this.

larrylje verry good advice i think what this person was doing was extracting all of the rar files one at a time, he must not know that you only have to extract one rar file.
