Ya i have not modded my xbox to play back up games yet... nor have i opened the case on this fuckr... ( i did the whole mod chip thing on the old Xbox, so im not a total noob)

but to my question... if you update the Firm ware on the drive, will you still be able to do updates and play xbox live? i understand the updates to this day work just fine.. but do you think ones in the near future will fuck up and make it for were banned from xbox live? jus a thot..

to answer your question, no firmware flash will not get you ban from live.

So far, no one has been banned from Xbox Live. The Hacked Firmware has something called "stealth" installed, which makes it so M$ can't tell if you have a Hacked Firmware.

from my understanding. can you put the old F/W on the drive? so in other words... if they do start detecting ppl.. i can just re flash it with the old firmware?

Yes, if you want to put your old Firmware on you can. When you flash the Drive, it saves your old Firmware, so that you can Flash it back at any time.
