Open dos in windows. Drag the xbefix into the dos window. Then hit space bar. Then drag the default.xbe into the window and hit enter.

It means the file is not patched, and its 100% original.
Does anyone know of any other program that can repair or replace the xbe file so that its original?

If your making a xbox 1 game backup, that you want to play on your 360, then yes, follow the above guide, and it should work.

Go in "File / Preferences / General Settings", and you should see it.

This is real easy. Just open the iso in wx360. Now, instead of extracting all files, just right click on the default.xbe by itself and select "extract file". Don't close wx360 yet.
Then run the extracted file through xbefix.
If xbefix repairs it, now just right click on the default.xbe in wx360 again, but this time select " replace file ".
Select the fixed xbe and poof, your iso is fixed without having to extract and rebuild the entire iso.

@bhetrick
when trying to fix the default.xbe, xbefix gives me this error:
hashes are already valid.
attempting to fix invalid signature
......................unable to fix signature
unable to fix default.xbe
any ideas, what could cause this error??
