Any suggestions? It being free is of course preferable, but beggars can't be choosers.

The kind of thing I was looking to do would be some piano works, and more importantly some experimental / post-rock stuff.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Two programs that come to mind are. Music Works and Magix Music maker. Neither are free though.
