Some people are having trouble flashing their Starview. The problem is with your PC/Laptop motherboard not having a proper serial port, but has a software emulated port that will not communicate properly with the Starview. Others may have a port problem that can be fixed by uninstalling the COM PORT and reinstalling it.

The simple advice is to get a friend to flash it on their PC, or buy a serial PCI card and install it into your PC.
