Hi there, I have heard that Rogue Galaxy which came out today is a dual layered game. I will soon be wanting to make a back up of said game. I've noticed a few topics on burning dual layered games as normal DVDs on the forum, but nothing on how to burn a dual layered backup as normal. I have a dual layer capable burner(sony dvd rw dw-q30a), a decent quality mod chip and will soon be purchasing some DVD9s. So essentially my questions are what type of DVD9 is best and is there any special method I should be using for burning the game properly (I tend to use Nero for backup making).

Thanks in advance, any help is much appreciated.

For DVD9 games I just use Nero as normal and just burn on a DVD+R DL disc.
You didn't mention what modchip you have, I've got a DMS4 Pro SE.
It supports dual layer backups.
If you have another chip you can try patching the ISO with Toxic patcher.

I'm assuming swap magic will not support it? Does SM support DVD9?

i burned this game with verbatim DVD+R DL media
patched with TOXICpatch and burned with imgburn @ 2.4x
it boots well but the problem is the lagging when reading data from the disc
for example, when a battle commencing, it took 5-10seconds for the mobs to appear
after that, when the battle finished, it took 5-10 seconds again for the experience screen to come out
i wonder what cause this lagging problem as i played the nuked rogue galaxy on DVD5, all running smooth
