i just got norton internet security 2007 and i reformatted my desk top before installing norton and i still get pop up error messages !!! and norton was unable to detect the virus??? what should i do...norton internet security includes antispyware, anti virus, id theft protection.... any one can help me!!!

no that wasn't my question, are they in an internet browser's page. as in, if you have ie, does it come up in an ie webpage?

is it triggered by anything? and what is it's url.

no they are not in an internet browser's page..its one of those that says ( a massage from a local computer ...your registry is damaged ...please visit pctools.com...) something like that..which i think they are in windows box...

a lot of people here will tell you Norton is worthless. if it works for you, that's cool, but my advice is to get rid of that and go freeware.

I'm getting a "System Alert" (it's on my tool bar)That says my computer may be infested with the works (spyware, adwareor viruses). But all the scanners i've used has found none except Windows Live One Care (which deleted it). Even though there's no virus and stuff the stupid thing keeps poping up.
