Yes, now you not only have to fork over the dough for AnyDVD, now they get you for the CloneDVD 2 as well. If Kitty is right, it just adds more money to their pockets by not being able to use FixVTS. LOL
That's a great reason to follow alkohol's advice on the freeware. RI4M in the 1-Click mode is the easiest way I've found to handle the new copy protections.
Alkohol
You need to give them the RI4M guide. It's easier on the brain. With that one the greatest difficulty is installing the software. PLus that is a no brainer, Shrink and DVD Decrypter first and then use the installer. I know there's always someone that messes up even that. LOL There was someone the other day who tried to use DVDFab Decrypter instead of DVD Decrypter.

The version I burned with Ripit4me, FixVTS, DVDDecrypter and Shrink (with AnyDVD in the background) worked perfectly. I wish I was able to get that whole movie instead of Movie and Menu's only.
Thanks,
Jan

You're not supposed to be running AnyDVD (or any other on the fly decryption software) in the background with RI4M. It actually messes up the decryption process.

sorry, been busy with some work in one of my rental property....
it works and plays, same is true for running with scissors. had to burn them with Nero though because of some errors. the errors pop up in Nero but if you ignore them you are still good. i could have used clone dvd 2 but i like being able to tweek compression ratios. i don't know anything about the other software out there, this seems to be working for me. i think the long encryption time in shrink are because of my hard drive.

You would probably notice fewer errors if you processed the files with FixVTS before transcoding. It's easier to use than most programs, so there's no reason not to use it. That way you don't have to use Nero manually unless you just like doing it that way.

For the record, I ripped Grudge 2 with dvddecryptor while using AnyDVD. Then I "debugged" it with FixVTSBeta1.24. I then reauthored (movie only) using dvdshrink and it burnt fine with dvddecryptor. this is the only way i could get this movie to work. I'm not sure if this is a redundant fix or if you've already tried it but I thought I would let yal know. Peace!

When ever I download a new AnyDVD file to get another 21 days it says my trial has expired. Is their any way I can get it not to recognise me and for me to get another 21 days with it?

You may want to read the rules and edit your post. You're asking for specific instructions on how to pirate software. Mods say things about such things when they run across it.

You might want to use a burner program with speed control. High speed burning of video increases the possibility of write errors.

I don't know why you had problems with dvdfab decrypter. i backed up this movie just hours after it was released with no problems at all. maybe you should try updating to the current version. the latest version will rip right through it.

Just a suggestion but has anyone tried just ripping with DVD Decrypter (AnyDVD 6.1.1.4 running) and burning with the same to a dual layered disc. Worked in 25 minutes from rip to finished burn. Then if you want just the movie on a single layer disc, try Roxio Media Creator Dvd Copier. Worked like a charm.

That method works with some titles, but those with structural errors caused by copy protection won't burn when the burner software sees them as being noncompliant. Processing for noncompliance takes a program like FixVTS or VobBlanker. That's why I've started using Ripit4Me. It includes the FixVTS in the process.
