Here goes a real stupid question, but in school they told me that there is no such thing as a stupid question, so here it goes: I have GTA: LCS how can I tell if it is patched or unpatched? and if I have a patched version is there any other way to get back down to v1.5?

stick the umd in. under the game icon it should say psp update yada yada yada yada...if it says 2.0 its unpatched...anything higher...well u can figure it out.

it says 2.0 but how can I get it from 3.03 back down....in other words how do I do get from a 3.03 to the version 2

no u dont want to go to version 2. u want to go to 1.50. the 2.0 version of GTA is the one with the exploit that allows u to downgrad. Go to psp-hacks.com and download the 3.03 EasyDown package...it contains all files u will need and as long as u have gta 2.0 u will be able to downgrade.

Thanks alot...you are great in this post...I am very new at this, I knew this could be done but never did any searching...once I downgrade to 1.5 I use your wininstall and I will be have the correct version, right? Is there anything I have to do before and after to the memory card. I have a 1GB card is that enough for all the mods needed? Once again thanks for all your help this has been very informative!

Once u do downgrade to 1.5 u can use one of my winstallers to install 3.03 Oe-C or 3.10 OE-A. 1GB MS will be more then enuff space.

Once again you are the man!! One last thing, and I will call it a night...Will the memeory card have all the folders I need or will I need to add folders? I want to play psx games on the psp....thanks again for the infomation

The folder PSX games is already there (PSP\GAME), once you download a psx game the folder will be in this format
SCUSXXXXX
"GAMENAME"
inside of the folder will be keys.bin eboot.pbp......the folder that houses these go into PSP\GAME.
If that makes sense :)

Yo hexitnow, I am trying to do the downgrade I get to 303 hen and then it tells me to run xy update in the memory card I go to where the game saves are and go to memory stick then I hit the x button on xy update and the psp goes blank but doesnt give the prompt to accept the download....what am I doing wrong?

Oppppsss I didnt have the psp plugged in it was giving me a batt not at 75% error....I guess that is why it wasnt working....I am almost there...I cant wait to get this working....dude once again THANKS for all your help!

i don't know if this happened with anyone else yet but when i upgrade from 3.03 oe-c to 3.10 oe-a a lot of my psx games didnt work so i just recovered to 1.5 and went back to 3.03 oe-c
For a While i have escaped time but to return when they need you most to come back on a vendetta like a have thats just simply MAGIC!

I loaded the files with the wininstaller and 303oeflasher and 303oeflasher% have been added to my memory card, do I need to do anything else or do I just restart my psp?

happend to me ARE YOUR GAMES PAL ? my games that were PAL that i had patchd to work on 3.03oe-c were all messed up so i just converted them and left them as PAL and they are workin sweet :) kewl PAL games on pops good tymes AND Games i tryed so far as PAL are
final fantasy 7
broken sword 2 and
metal gear solid all went fine :)
And mite be a stupid question but why recover back to 1.50 then back up 2 3.03 oe -c why not just recover back down to 3.03 oe-c from 3.10oe-a ??

Yo hex...i got 1.5 psp TA-082 (originally 2.71)...now i plan to upgrade to 3.03OE-C...i've downloaded the file '3.03OEC winstaller'...before i do anything, just want to know if need the OErecovery winstaller as well...thanks for the great thread...

as long as u can boot into recovery mode u can mount ur PSP over USB and install the files. u dont need it, but it wouldn't hurt to have it just in case.

i just ran the program and it says i need to select the psp root folder but mine doesnt have that. it was savedata game photo and music. what do i use? (i re formated my memorystick yesterday after i downgraded my 3.03 to 1.50. is that why?)
