well this does mess with flash and anything the EVER touches flash has a slight possibility of bricking, but if you take ur time I think you'll be ok. As for upgrading from 3.03 OE-A..........u can upgrade straight from that.

thanks buddy so u telling me that i could download the game and play to psp. but my friend i got 2.71 i bought my psp last thursday so should downgrade to 1.5 or i just install to my psp.please let me kno friend

2.71 cannot play isos, so downgrade to 1.5 then upgrade to 3.03 oe-c or 3.10 oe-a

well, everybody that post should either upgrade to 3.03oec or 3.10oea, and not much ppl complain about it. also thank u for reply Hex, wow u didnt give up on the topic,and i hope you keep up the good work, ppl will need your help as long as psp is popular

i m sorry bro. but u didnt give me the answer where should i make iso folder. on psp or MP_root cuz my one says mp_ root or doesnt matter. on the other hand i m trying to install fw 3.03c when i try to install on my psp its automatically got shut off. why? thanks for the reply

ISO folder goes in the root of the memory stick. What else is it you're wanting to know?

ok my friend u said (ISO folder goes in the root of the memory stick)
i hav to two folder into my mem. stick. one is psp and other one is MP_root now when u said in the root does it mean MP_ root? or PSP? if its psp where i should create the folder and do i need any firmware or devhook something like that cuz i download wwe 2007 i dont kno how should i run it. it would be gr8full if i got the ans. thanks

No the root of the psp is basically the drive letter ur psp is mounted as. If u have the folder in the right place it will look like this
ms0:\ISO
ms0:\PSP
ms0:\MP_ROOT
if u have OE firmware and format the memstick it will create the folder for you.

first off thanks alot hexitnow and others, this forum together with cj.net got me to a succesfull flash to 3.10 OE-A2 (from 2.60) and figuring out i have to format the mem. stick before theres an ISO folder to put ure buckups in ;).
but offc it cant all be peaches and cream.. when starting 2 of my games (the other backups are on my home pc), twisted metal; head on and gta:vcs i get the following error msg: "the game could not be started. (80020321)" . being the psp nub that i am, i have no idea howto solve this, any suggestions?

ok.. just solved it :P
for the ones with the same problem:
turn off ure psp (rly off, not standby), start up in the recovery menu (hold R while turing ure psp on) and navigate to the configuration menu.
once there, enable "Use NO-UMD", now restart and the problem is solved... well it is for twisted metal, gta still hangs on a black screen.. :/

thanks for the quick reply.
twisted metal is ok now, so i guess most games are (will test tonight), but gta:lcs seems to crash (mem.stick led blinks a few times, then stops and there's only a black screen), and google is a little less helpfull with this one. is gta a known problem child or could i have a bad iso or somet?

Will this 3.03 oe-c installer work on a 1.50 or is it only for the OE firmwares to upgrade from? Or does it matter?

If it is Sonys 3.03 firmware you cant. You have to downgrade to 1.50 then back up to 3.03 OE-C

Well I had 3.03 oe-c first then went to 3.10 oe-a and I ended up going back to 3.03 oe-c. Right now I feel like 3.10 oe-a has too many bugs although they have released a updater called 3.10 oe-a' it only fixed a minor problem. Im getting another new psp today and I am putting 3.03 oe-c on it personally. You can always upgrade if they come out with a better 3.10.
