i have 3.03 OE-C what have been the changes from 3.03 OE-C to the latest version of custom firware besides being able to play recent games, sorry havent been on seen in while trying to get back into it , tried looking thru a few threads but couldnt find anything to explain the differences

hi,
i'm on 3.53 m33- 3 version, i installed this 3.71 winstaller, connect my PSP thru USB, ran .exe and chose the drive (:/f) of my PSP. it installed the FW on it. I came back and went to Games through PSP, there r 2 icons
1. m33 update
2. corrupt data
i ran m33 update but a message pops up saying this FW require 3.52 m33-3 FW or higher and then PSP restarts again.
What shaal i do? do i have to go to recovery menu? how do i delete the corrupt file from my PSP?

sorry, i am on 3.52 m33 -3. I managed to erase the 'corrputed icon' from my PSP. just to let u knw, i chose the 1st option in the winstaller of 3.71 which wa sin russian i guess.
i have update to m33 3.71 icon at present which brings me back saying the FW update requires 3.52 m33-3 or higer.

ok i just got Spiderman 3 for PSP. Now when i try to update the version so that i can play the game it tell something about my system configuration is not correct and i cant understand it. something about (DRNFFFFFFD7)can anyone find tell me what the hell this is about plz

This is for both vineet and crysis ,all you need to do is go into your recovery menu and change your kernel from 1.50 to 3.52,to do this turn your psp off by the off button but hold the off button up till the console turns off then restart the console but start it holding the right trigger in as it starts,this will bring you to the black recovery menu screen-scroll down to configuration,then scroll down to game folder homebrew and change it from 1.50 kernel to 3.52 kernel,exit it all turn off your console then run the 3.71 m33 winstaller and it will all work fine!!!

look on the 3.71 m33 winstaller vineet,there is custom ones and the sony ones,same as usual just select your drive(usually f) and click install and it will put the themes on the console for you, the themes are the 4th and 5th option down on the winstaller

just one ques- will the tomb raider which wasn't smooth on 3.52 m33-3 , runs smoothly on this 3.71?

i have tomb raider anniversary-it played jumpy and stuttery off 3.52 m33 but is spot on with 3.71 m33,to be honest i have not found a game that wont play on this 3.71 m33-even ratchett and clank size matters now plays on standard settings and you dont have to go into the recovery menu and alter the cpu speed.so all in all a worthwhile update.

hahahahahahahahahahaha........... wow i really hate this psp.
1. i cannot get into my recovery menu no matter how long i hold the R trigger after coldstarting the psp.
2. in the process of trying to update my psp for spiderman3 i accidently restored the default settings and disabled the flash player and the wma playback....
3. i have nooooo idea about the wireless router and connecting the internet to psp so that i can enable the flash and wma cause my stupidity cant figure out this D*** device. ps2.... fine i got that the setup, networking, online play, the works but how persay do you do this whole thing wirelessly i dont know sorry guys that alien talk to me. plz for the love of gaming plz tell me teach show me how do i do the three things that i am having such a dillema with. my version 3.03 trying to go 3.35 for spiderman3. also where do i find a wireless router. Thank you to whoever helps me. its ridiculious. one the greatest things ever created aside from the ps3 and not even sony can tell me how to fix these problems. they should have looked this over before making new games for it and not taking into consideration the fact that they are only going to update so far. i love games and i know the rest of the world is with me when i say this is bull@%$#!!!!!

It seems like you upgraded to a legitimate sony firmware and not a custom firmware which is the reason why you cannot go to the recovery menu. you will need to downgrade it and update it after so you can play the game you want and you can enable the wmv and flash playback.

ok i dont have some of the things they say like an update folder. and what the does FW stand for?* Copy the entire content of the attached file to PSP\GAME folder.
* Rename Original FW 1.50 file to UPDATE.PBP and copy it to PSP\GAME\UPDATE folder.
* In the Game menu launch "Update to X.Y.Z."
* Follow the onscreen instruction and it's done in a while.
i dont know this stuff im sorry if this was in lamence terms i could do it but i know nothing of a update.pbp

ok crysis no probs i will talk you through it,i have uploaded the file for you in case you are not a member of dcemu-here is the link

basically extract the file onto your comp and you will be left with one folder named update- plug your psp into your comp with your usb cable and select the usb mode on your psp,your psp will then come up as a removable drive(usually F) ,go into start then my my comp and select removable drive f(your psp),open this and you will see a few folders one of which is psp-open up psp folder and then open up a folder you will see called game- now copy your update folder you have downloaded into the folder named game,next download the 1.50 firmware from the link below and put the file in the update folder you have put into your psp

once you have put the 1.50 file in the update folder then rename it to UPDATE.PBP (in capital letters) if you dont rename it it wont work.then unplug your psp from your comp,turn it on ,go into the games on the mempory stick and you will see the downgrader,just enter it and follow the instructions.

legit firmware by the way is sony firmware ,custom firmware is firmware based around the sony firmware but customised in a way that allows you to play games off your memory stick rather than play them off umds

just wondering what firmware you currently have in your psp,if you go into system settings then system information it will tell you-i am wondering if you have ever run off custom firmware b4 or do you play your games normally with the umd?
