it doesnt say what firmware it is in system settings also i dont have a game folder in my psp k:/
all i have is common folder music folder photo folder savedatafolder and system folder and all my sysem folder has is the browser folder i still dont know how to get to recovery menu the psp i try and try to r trigger and nothing.

now when i go to system info on the psp it says my mac address 00:16:CE:6F:E4:0D
then my system software which is version 3.03 and my name
thats it i got one of the first psp's does that make a difference? and i figure if i find out how to put the game folder in there i can start from there

your game folder will already be there in your psp,just plug it into your comp,select usb mode,then access it from your comp,and you will find it it will be inside the folder named psp that will show up,just slip the update folder into the game folder,follow the other instructions i gave u and this will downgrade your psp to a version 1.50, from there its a fairly easy job to install the custom firmware which will allow you to play backup games from your memory stick.

sorry didnt read your last message,what you need to do is go to system settings and format memory stick(obviously make sure you have a memory stick in it lol) let the psp format your memory stick and then check your folders- this time it will put a psp folder there with a game folder-if it doesnt create one yourself just right click with your mouse and make a new folder called psp,then open that folder up,and in it create another folder named GAME and drop your update folder you have downloaded into it.

ok i downloaded the update folder and the downgrade folder renamed it UPDATE.PBP and its telling me in my psp under game in the memory stick that its corrupt data i saved both to my documents uploaded them to psp and still corrupt data under memory stick. what now

did you get the psp folder by formatting the memory stick with your psp or did you create your own? basically when you open your psp on your comp as your removable drive you should have a folder titled PSP(in caps) ,open the PSP folder and in it you should have a folder titled GAME ( again in capitals ) open game and you should then have your update folder that you have downloaded and placed in there(the folder should be named exactly as it was downloaded-just update. then open up the update folder and in it you need to put the version 1.50 eboot file from the link i gave you,and rename it to UPDATE.PBP(again in caps). then exit your usb mode and access the downgrader from your game section on the memory stick-it shouldnt show up as a corrupt file if you do as i have said.

yep i got the game folder when i formatted my memory card then i put the UPDATE.PBP in the update folder but the update folder was named updater5 i put it in the adobe updater folder in the updater5 folder then there was 2 folders another adobe updater folder and reader8rdr-en_US folder and then i put it deeper into the second adobe updater folder and that was it i usbed my psp went to game and nothing i am still getting corrupt data icons. (in all honesty if this doesnt work thatnks anyway i learned a hell of a lot from this talk) later

dont give up crysis you are almost there,i dont know how you are getting adobe into this though.basically install winrar on your comp,its an unzipping programme. delete all that you have put inside your psp format your memory stick and start again. download the psp downgrader file again save it to your desktop,right click on it and choose extract here and it will extract the downgrader to your desktop.you then have a folder called psp downgrader on your desktop,open this and you will have a folder named UPDATE ,plug your psp in via the usb lead,find the PSP folder,open it,oen the GAME folder,then drag your UPDATE folder into the GAME folder.now do the same with your 1.50 eboot file,download from the link i gave you,save it to your desktop,right click on it and choose extract her.once you have a file named EBOOT.PBP then rename it to UPDATE.PBP and drag it into your update folder in PSP-GAME. thats it,acess it from your memory card and run the downgrader.dont use adobe at all,thats where you are getting muddled.

ITS STILL GIVING ME A CORRUPT ERROR BUT I DID DOWNLOAD THE PSP DOWNGRADE YOU GAVE ME BEFORE THE OTHER DOWNLOADS THE ONE IF I DIDNT HAVE A PANDORAS BATTERY I GOT THE UPDATE XYZ AND I GOT THAT PROGRAM ON MY PSP IN THE MEMORY STICK BUT I SAYS IT CANT START GAME IDK MAN. I MIGHT JUST TAKE THIS TO A STORE AND HAVE THEM FIX IT

just been doing a bit of readin on this for you,the xyz downgrader worked for me,but i was already on custom firmware thats why,so dont think its going to work for you,there is a 3.03 to 1.50 winstaller out and i have downloaded it for you,so if you want it let me know,but you will need a umd game of gta liberty city stories to use it so hope you have one-the only other option is a pandoras battery,but you would need a custom firmware psp to make one.they are for sale on ebay already made up plus the memory card ,take a look.

uuummmmm. damn dude uh i live in the US but hell yeah coming to England would rock but funding sucks so yeah. but anyway like i said i have the update X.YZ on my psp it shows up in memory stick but when i start it it says that the game could not be started. thanks man i have learned so much about this thing from you man thanks.

you can also use lumines, if you go this route you upgrade to official firmware 3.50 then downgrade from there but you need a certain one, very easy though, probably eisier to find lumines then gta unpatched

crisis pls try and do this, i saw ur posts and realised that whats heppening to you also happened to me....even that updater5 thingie that other members dont understand how you got to it...but this it..pls try and rename that "UPDATE.PBP" to "EBOOT.PBP" it should show correctly now.....but make sure you have done every other thing correctly.
