I bought the PS2 SWAP MAGIC 3.8 W/CODER COMBO for my new Silver PS2 Slim, and I can't find instructions anywhere, on how to install it.

If you guys could help me out, I would appreciate it very much.

hey, do you have the 3 tools to install? read the topic i posted called "disc wont spin...new slimline SELF-RESOLVED" ...as i just broke a sensor so you wont do the same. also has some tips for installing. swap magic itself is easy to use...turn on the system with swap magic in, wait for it to stop spinning at the load program screen, put in an imported or backed up disc and push X on your controller. as for the tool installation there is instructions for different types here:

Awesome, the Magic Keys is what I have, and I have everything in place. Only thing now is the disc won't spin >_>

the trick is to turn on the system and move that back left side tool (tool 3) the crazy one haha...anyways move that to the left or right a bit...when you hit the sensor you will hear the laser assembly booting up and the disc will spin...press the tool in place and it should be good to go. careful not to ruin the tape on the tool too so it doesn't move around when you close the lid! :)

also make sure you are using quality media because bad discs will kill your laser. there is a good post in here about quality media. verbatim seems to be good and fuji japan, etc...you can find out what manufacturer made the disc by installing Nero cdspeed on your computer and putting the disc in after it's burned and you can also do a quality scan with it to see how the disc turned out. also good posts about that in this forum.

and be very careful with that sensor...i just broke mine yesterday lol. so don't put any force on it and make sure it is flush with the system so when you close the door it does not interfere with the lid and it doesn't move.
