i have Clone DVD 2 and like it alot, have done about 25 movies with it so far, wondering how this compares to imgburn, and if i would have any interest in it? i already have the full version of CloneDVD2, so it would just be a matter of preference. how does Imgburn stack up in comparision to CloneDVD2, as a side note i almost always just back up the main movie. and the movie would already be ripped to the HD with DVD Fab.
well two totally different programs, besides the$$$
but CloneDvD2 is a great/simple program aswell.
myself i still have all the programs but hardly use
anything but CloneDvD2/AnyDvd it's just very simple
and easy. have tried all the freebies didn't care
much for them.
it's a matter of preference and they are different.
gday...............................
p.s. if you use anydvd/clonedvd2 and have 2 drives you don't
need to rip to the HD first..........
i havent tried this because i dont have AnyDVD, but i would assume you:
open AnyDVD, leave running on toolbar....open clonedvd2, put movie in ripping dvd tray, put blank media in burning dvd tray, and choose the drive with the movie as the file source, and burn it, AnyDVD should break the encryption on the fly i believe.
IMO CloneDVD2 is the better proggie and much more versatile, but Image burn is free and does well also. If you already have CloneDVD2 though there would be nothing at all gained by using ImageBurn.
Using two drives for backing up a DVD would work exactl as hayden58 has explained, but the time gained isn't all that significant unless you just want to start the process and go watch TV for awhile and come back to a completed backup?
