ive recently downloaded r type for the ps1 i put it in the game folder it shows up on the memory card but when i go to play it just a blank screen am i doing something wrong??????

what format did you download it in?

we need more information if we are going to solve this, as what type of file is it, eboot/bin/iso, what firmware you using.

what kernel mode are you in. 1.50 or 3.03oe-b

maybe the problem if you are in 1.50 kernel in the recovery menu

u can be in Kernel 1.5 and run PS1 games.

i'm assuming copp, u got that from the Gatos De Negros?

it's a pbp and bin file if it's from there.

do u have any custom fonts or anything done on ur psp?

upgrade to 3.03OE-B to get that game to work

it was in a WinRAR file i dragged the game folder out and placed it in the game folder on the memory stick,im not sure about this kernal thing im a bit new to this?? the game showed up on the psp pressed x on the icon then just blank screen

3.02 doesn't have as high of compatability w/ PS1 games as 3.03OEB does. u should upgrade and see if that solves ur problem.

i cant confirm, but PAL does not work as well as NTSC i know that. the readme for popstation says so - it was made for ntsc
