I tried the TMPEGEnc Plus and IFOEdit and was able to get one movie to work right, but then I followed the guides at DVDRhelp.com and now everything I try to convert is screwed up. I've tried uninstalling it and reinstalling it, but something is saved somewhere and I can't get it to work right anymore.
So I switched to those $20 convertors and so far the best one i've found is Cucusoft's AVI to VCD/DVD convertor. I've used WinMPG, All video, Super video etc. and they're all crap. WinMPG took 8 hours to convert a 1:30hr movie and the quality sucked. Cucusoft seems to do it fast and doesn't screw up the movie. The quality is the closest to TMPGs I've seen so far. As far as I know, there is no working crack or serial for it so you have to buy it or download and try it which only does about 1 minute of video.

Another one I forgot is Arcsoft Showbiz. Again, almost as perfect as TMPGEnc but very easy for newbies. It's packaged with Sony DVDwriters and is installed with Sonic MyDVD, but is a seperate program.

							Hey all,
New to this forum but let me give you all a word of advise.

DO NOT BUY NOTHING FROM (Cucusoft) They s*ck!

I like rhem was looking for software to convert a xvid to dvd and the Cucusoft web site said that its software worked with xvid.
 I downloaded the demo and
The demo did great job for the 1 minute its limeted to.. it converted 1 minute of the movie NO problems like it said it would.

So like i said i bought it! WOW what a piece of shit!

Not only did it ONLY work for 1/2 the movie the other half gave me an error of not being able to do the sound...WHAT? it was able to do it the first half..anyways i sent the company an e-mail explaining the problem and here is the e-mail sent ....

 Dear user,

We recommend that you install kazaa full codecs package, you can download it from http://www.cucusoft.com/download/codecs/klcodec203f.exe
This package almost contains all known popular video and audio codecs. Because this package doesn't belong to us, we can't guarantee the quality. Anyway, it is a good stuff.

Please try again after you install this codecs package.

 Sincerely
 Kelly
 The Cucusoft Team
