Hi there i am new to this entire ps2 back-up scene and i have a question i have got a NEC 1300A burner and it can only burn DVD+R discs But my local shop sells a home brand dvd+r's or sony DVD-R But i wanna preserve my ps2 laser. so how do i burn DVD-R with my burner???

Go to your local BestBuy, Circuit City, Sams Club, Target, Walmart, etc. and get any DVD+R Verbatim or DVD+R 8X Maxell (Made In Japan) and simply "booktype" them into DVD-ROM and you'll be safe.
