I recently started getting this error when trying to back up "the descent and open season". I used latest version of DVD Decrypt then the latest version of Vob Blanker. Then shrinked it with no problem. It just won't burn. Any suggestions.

Thanks,

Yep, another one. Read this thread and try the fixes suggested and see if it works..

..Do you have AnyDVD running? Yours is a bit different as you seem to have several vobs in the wrong location.

If you are using AnyDVD, make sure it's upto date.

If not, VobBlanker should of corrected the problem, but it looks like it didn't, so.....

Essentially the correct files are not there to play the DVD correctly. Nero checks to see if they are present and correct first (calling it re-allocation) and then burns. Something during the ripping process caused the file structure to become non-compliant (ie..a file is missing etc.), the file structure needs to be corrected to make Nero happy.

Try this to slove your problem:

Have shrink rip the video files to a location on your hard drive, look for the VIDEO_TS folder created by shrink, inside you'll find all the video files (.ifo, .vob, .bup), remove/delete all the files except the VTS_XX_X.VOB files in the folder then re-create them using IFOEDIT. Run IFOEdit - click the 'create IFO' button down the bottom, tell it where your VOB's are - and it will do the rest. Specify the same directory as your original VOB's.

When the process is complete, open the files using shrink and proceed as you normally would with the backup process.

get IFOEdit here

If you're not comfortable with the above method, try re-ripping using DVDFab decrypter, then open the files ripped to your hard drive using shrink and have it autoburn to disk using Nero.

see DVDFab Decrypter link below.

Use Anydvd and believe
