It's better for Burning, all that stuff, games just sorta fell in I believe. The console section is ok, but too many rules are broken, piracy, people don't search, but in a rare occasion were a question hasn't been answered, it's great for help.

Yes, I understand why Afterdawn makes rules like this, any website in there right mind would make rules like these. I'm talking about that most of the console forums are filled with spam, threads asking for cracked passwords, and asking questions that have the answer right at there fingertips.

Is it a loaded question..
Some thoughts from the darkside..
Whether AD is the greatest site of all time, or a s**thole full of opinionated a$$holes is a matter of personal taste.
It depends really on what you are after.
A webmaster/coder will hang out on the very technical and specific forums for their personal interests.. AD will annoy them because of all the n00bs demanding answers and flaming and shouting when they don't get one immediately. They will expect polite and concise answers to specific questions.
A linux user will be a member of the large linux forums, where knowledge is respected and members are polite if terse.
DVD/CD burning fans will probably spend more time lurking on cd-freaks where there is a whole heap of good info, and where n00bs are kept under control.
Serious console people will generally find a sensible site they like and can get on with the other members.. some are nasty, but I hang on a few of the more notorious ones where bad info and garbage is stamped on hard. I know sites where fanboys get a very rough ride.. I wish AD was tougher in this respect. You can't even express a personal opinion nicely without some console fanboy flaming and ranting.. a$$holes.
OS knowledgeable people will lurk and pounce when something that pricks their interest comes up.. otherwise they will hide in the techie-geek type places doing their own thing..
So, in conclusion.. No it's not the greatest place, it's an acquired taste. I have friends from other sites who absolutely hate it because of the stupidity of a lot of the posts.. the lazyness of n00bs who can't even think what they are posting about and pick an appropriate place to post it, and the fanboyitis that is rife.. These aren't the run of the mill people, they are moderators and the like from other sites, with expert knowledge in certain fields.
Not the greatest.. just another site which caters to the needs and interests of it's members

The best is what you like,the place that fits your interests and likes.. my opinion will be different from yours, because.. and here comes a bombshell.. And for a link to a better site, as in a site better than Afterdawn? Well what do you want? Google can find you answers, I like Afterdawn because I can get quick answers to just about everything, however just the stupidity is this site apart.
And for Ireland, I am trying to learn more about DVD-R, DVD+R, and so forth. So, sorry for posting in there so much.
