nesterJ and nes roms not workin

i downloaded a pak of roms for the nes it came with a loader Jnes but its for the computer so i downloaded nesterJ and put all the roms in
they were .nes and .NES
but when i load up nesterJ right away it sometimes says load config failed
then i go into roms click on one it just turns of not even the mem card light goes on
what can i do

need help fast want to play them on my way to my uncles house for the super bowl

downgrade and then upgrade to custom firmware

im still gona have the same problem

cuz nesterj loads up but crashes when i try to load the roms the mem stick doesnt even light up

is there some way to get them to work

is there any other good emu that has sound and plays at full speed?
