i loaded the socom 2 iso with devhook .51 so i have emulated firmware 3.01 and original firmware 1.5
anyway when i tried playing online it told me that i needed to download some upgrade and install it
will this upgrade my fw permanently? or is it safe to downlad?

I wouldnt trust it myself, but it could just be a patch for the game.... might wanna look at a guide or a user manual for socom. And might I suggest upgrading to one of the oe firmwares, its easier to use and u can go back to 1.5 whenever u want.

okay i dont exactly want to take the risk of upgrading to custom firmware just yet sorry
but has anyone tried the update and knows if it will upgrade ur psp if u have 3.01 emulation (devhook .51) and 1.5 psp
