okii i had the 1.5 after i downgraded.
than i was running devhook 0.51
i read about the ultimate black xmb menue and decided to change mine.
i did everything right... than i flashed the new xmb. when i restarted the psp , it would load the sony entertanment than it would stop there.
when i go into the recouvery cousle, all i have are these options:
hold L and press triangle to activate usb
hold l and press square to spoof as version 1.00
hold l and press circle to excute update
hold l+r and press start to auto-format, spoof + update
when i try to spoof nothing happens( and i have no idea what that does )
when i try to excute update ... it says updating than quickly shuts off back to groud zero
when i select the last one it does the same thing it just says updating and shuts off ??
please someone help me, i have tried many things... but some of them say to choose the advanced option in the recovery counsle which i don't have.

Wtf does this have to do with modding the xmb?
Anyway, ya lol, photoshop does a have alot of options, i dont know most of them either and i been using photoshop for a good time now. anyone got any modded stuff they wanna show?

i jst saw ur sig and jst went 2 go on socom online n it says i need 2 download an update. is it a firmware update or shud i get it ?

It isn't a fw update just update and you will be able to play I PROMISE!!

@majdi_44 am afraid mate that you may have bricked your PSP, Ultimate Black only works on OE custom firmwares.

k 4 icons go 2 psp-hacks n search 4 custom xmb icon packager.read the readme . once its generated the topmenu drop it in VSH/RESOURCE

Well here is my first XMB i made for fun. Used 32bit bmps(not that you can tell a difference with 8bit characters though ;) (I purposly left the edges jagged so they would look like the orginal)
I had trouble getting some of the colors to blend in though :(
Well here it is anyways, thanks to guano for the Battery icon.Thanks to Lawl for the hexing help and thanks to hodgins for help on random things :)
AND
I can confirm that Paintshop Pro works with 32bit files incase anyone is concerned.

Everyones XMB looks sick. I was changing mine on 3.10 oe-a but it got totally messed and now the font in homebrew games doesn't work. I forgot to make a backup too =( Now I don't know what to do. Could anyone please help me? My msn is Crimson.Cloud@hotmail.com. Or you could just post right here, something that I could do to fix my problem. Thanks!

1- ouch, bad the way you never kept a back up of your flash0. now i am on 3.03 oe-c, or i would of sent you my full flash0 folder. whaat i wud do is ask if someone wud send you a backup of flash 0.
2- or you could downgrade to 1.50, then upgrade back up. its whatrecovery folder is for :)

i would , but i was having trouble with the colors blending so ihave it on black so the squares arent visible behind it :(

anyone here got any faceplates from decalgirl.com? im interested in buying from decalgirl.com but not sure if there reliable or not but they look like they are. also, what else does the faceplates come with? are the buttons included too and the protective layer?
