Hi I am in the process of getting a box but would just like a few answers to these questions.

At present i have broadband and basic TV package from a London CC. would i need a 3 way splitter when i get box, my thinking is that CC will see that i still have basic tv and will not send signal down to knock out box. Or is this not the case, and if so is there any need for keeping basic tv package?

Also Starview vs Dreambox2 i'm confused. Pros and cons?

Any idea of roughly how many times a year they send these signals down line?

Thanks and hopefully i have not offended anyone with my complete novice questions.

You could give up basic package & keep broadband.

If you want a basic box to watch channels then go for Starview. If you have a bit of computer savvy go for the Dbox2 or Dreambox as they are multimedia devices.

only the CC can answer that one ;-)
