My psp was 2.71 TA-082. I downgraded it to 1.50 with Dax's downgrader.
I upgraded to 3.10 OE. It has been freezing a lot - over 30 times so far. :(
This happened in other Dax firmwares too - 3.02 OE and 3.03 OE.

I have tried re-installing 3.10 OE too. It hasn't helped.

My psp has been freezing just about everywhere - XMB, USB mode, web browser, and UMD are some places.

I don't want to stay in 1.50 either - no ps1, wifi in devhook won't always work (I get some error)

Is anyone else with a TA-082 having problems with it freezing? Is there any way to fix it?

I have a TA-082 mobo and i downgraded to 1.5 then up to 3.03OE-C And my works flawlessly. Try 3.03OE-C 3.10OE-A is still pretty new maybe there is still a few bugs in it.

Phat PSP 1->MS Slot Dead.RIP
PSP SLIM->3.60->3.71->And with a lil bit of MAGIC->3.71M33->3.71M33-2->3.71M33-3->3.90M33->3.90M33-2->4.01M33-2

It doesn't get hot.

I use the original Sony battery.
It freezes at random times, all of a sudden.

I don't know. I've only been in 1.50 for about 2 minutes.
I want to be able to play newer umds, ps1 games, and the web browser.

i think one of the eboots you used or the updater is what messed up the psp. if 1.5 works fine then update it manually using a new 1.5 and 3.03 eboot from dl.qj.net.
