Memory stick error/problem, anyone knowledgable???

Ok I recently bought a 1Gb Sony Pro Duo Mem stick off Ebay(yes i kno but read the rest), anyway it was working fine for a while I could use up all the available space and I had no issues, then I deleted a large chunk off music off it (~600Mb), then I tried to load some things onto it and bam, its screwed.

OK now I can load maybe about 120Mb of data more or less, if I try and copy anymore windows explorer just freezes and it comes up with an I/O error/read write error or something like that or I just have to take the mem stick out.

I don't think my Mem stick is fake tho, I've the checked the fake spotting guides thoroughly and I'm pretty sure its real and plus I was using it perfectly for about 3 months.

Can someone please help me I don't want to go and buy one of these things from a store as in Australia as their like at least 150 bux.

its hard to figure out mate, either it is a fake despite all the signs of real memory stick marks or just blew something in it, try reformatting it either by using it in you psp or mem card reader.

Thnx for your reply there.

Well I wouldn't say its damaged, but when I did get it I notice the gold connector plates seemed kinda dirty or scratched (compared to my 32Mb Stick).

Hmm I'm never trusting Ebay again anyway I had a bad feeling lol

Btw, sinsaint are u from Australia? Would you know the cheapest places to find memory sticks here?

I must have reformatted it like 50 times by now and yep I've checked ALL the Fake Memory Stick guides.
