Quote: Data error (cyclic redundancy check).
This error means the disc is dirty or scratched. Try replacing the disc.

The only other thing i can think of is that the disc is badly pressed. Just try to get another disc.

... and one from a different batch if possible. I've run into a few poorly pressed DVDs. They play good but the bad sectors cause recording problems. You can run a read test using DVDInfoPro, Nero's Infotools, Plextools, or a number of other disc analysis programs. You can actually see the bad sectors on a graph corresponding to the position the DVD stalls out, if that is the problem.

It is a bad mastering press as it could not be read and not bad media

Gotta be a bad press I did it with AnyDVD and Nero Recode. I just watched it. Played flawlessly.

15 hours? I think after 2 hours, I would begin to think there is a problem lol.
Be that as it may, there really isn't anything special on this disc that would cause decryption issues. It must be a bad press. Just replace it with a new one. I don't think a retail store has turned me down when I said the disc doesn't work. They happily exchange it.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Guess most of us agree, get a new DVD and make sure you don't get any smudges when putting it in the drive.

Sorry for the confusion. I was referring to the movie title.
