That way works, but if ur are gonna use samread u need the stupid 3.2 firmware cuz u need a original first to generate firmware 5.2! To make a frigin bootable usb or floppy ull need a firmware 3.2 or ur original to generate 5.2, or it won't let u use the bootmaker.
u prolly won't get it, w/e lol!
sorry for making it confusing but now i don want to edit it to lazy!

Yeah that will also work. Just follow the tutorial on the first page of this thread and you'll be set with Samsung 360 drives.

You can only download the games if you OWN the original. I don't want this thread closed down due to piracy talk.

When I try to flash my ms28 drive with a 6241a card, the only option that mtkflash gives me is xtreme secondary. I click that, wait ten seconds, then turn on the 360 and nothing happens. I tried that several times. What could I be doing wrong?

i dont understand what you mean. I have never read that I needed an optical drive with a mediatek chipset. Where can I find one that works and how would I connect it?

Plug the SATA cable into the Primary Port of the 6241 card. I don't think the secondary one will work.

If you have a plain old DVD+R writer or a CD writer or any optical drive connected to the IDE ports, then you're ok. I never had to check to see if I needed a mediatek chipset, I just left everything plugged in and used the 6241 PCI card.

I need a little help. I get down to step 8 and im lost. I dont think I have a xtreme 5.2 folder like in pic 10. I extracted the rar file and there was a load of fw in there, I grabbed 5.2a and that was it so Im lost. Also in the firmware toolbox where did you get the DvdXboxDvdfirmwarehacks, in the firmware file cause I didnt have that either. I got half way through pretty good I just need a little guidance to finish this baby off. Thanks in advance fellas.

Also, does it matter if there is a game or anything in the xbox drive? Right now I have a game in the drive and im wondering if that will affect anything or not.
