Hey guys I just tried to rip the new game fusion frenzy but it say it is unable to read the partition - I am using the 162c drive with kreon .81 and the latest XBC:
Cancelling due to unknown partition
Getting media info [E]
Uknown Partition size. Used bytes = 5.32 MB
Media Type: DVD-ROM
Bytes Used: 5.32 MB (5,578,752 bytes)
Read failed
Uknown Partition size. Used bytes = 5.32 MB
Any help - I hope these new disks don't have issues with this drive?

have to click unlock drive, will load a larger partition, go to main screen click rip on the rip current partition button. This will get the main game iso. Then use drive tools to rip the other three files. Combine with ssmerger and presto your ready to burn. Search back a few days there's multi mulit multi posts regardign these types of games and ripping good luck!

Thanks - its ripping now. How come every disk I have done so far did not need this procedure? Is this procedure required for all the new disks coming out?

Under setting in ssmerger do I uncheck: add video partition?
Also do I uncheck: create a nme compatible iso?
I had the latter checked and the merge did not produce a working disk.

Here's an informative link:

Your absolutely right I didnt mentions you need to check the "pad with blanks" box and uncheck the "make nme compatable" box. NME is some kind of mod chip that us flashed drive users dont need. That post was the best I could offer in what condition I was in on a friday night

Hey soud - thanks for the help and hope you had a good time on friday :)
But alas it still did not work -
I unchecked add video partition, checked pad with zeros and unchecked creat a nme compatible...
I added in the iso, ss, dmi and pfi that XBC extracted. hit the merge and it literally took zero seconds before syaing it was done. using clone cd i burned the iso using the .dvd file and another coaster.
In other news I just extracted pro evo soccer that just came out with no issues- i guess this fusion frenzy game may be a special disk.

I followed the process you did and got a working backup on the first try. SSMerger did take about 10min to compile the files together on my 2.5ghz intel computer,

Thanks for the info Sourd (does that stand for sour diesel?) Yum
Did you do this game to fusion Frenzy. I will try it again since the process was instantaneous. weird why it didn't work. also that previous link you posted discusses some folks using isobuster to build the iso - think that may work better?

Yea that was my insperation for the screen name. I used clone just because its worked for me 15+ times without fail. Ripped all four seperately, combined with ssmerger padding with blanks and unchecking make nme compatable. And burned the .dvd file with cloned and fuzion frenzy works great,
