Ya I'm about ready to take my to a local EB/GS and try my tactics for getting a lower version. My friend works at one and said it wouldn't be a problem as long as the PSP is in good shape >.>

I'm a little new to the PSP scene, but is it technically possible to hot-swap the firmware from one PSP to another? I know I had to do that once after making a mobo go FUBAR in BIOS.
Also, should I go looking for a LCS original edition (I bought the greatest hits for a long bus ride) now so I can hopefully downgrade on day one or is it semi-likely that it won't be necessary?

Greatest hits = Patched = No downgrade for you!
Those of you waiting for a 3.10+ downgrader, you do realise it could NEVER happen right? Because all of the security holes used to downgrade were patched with 3.10.
My advice, swap the PSP at your local Blockbuster/EB w/e. Or else you could be in for a long ( if not indefinite ) wait.

Nothing is impossible my friend. It's all code one way or another. It all depends on if someone actually wants to spend the time and actually break it. Nothing is perfect. There were people saying the same thing about the first patch...

i cant actually change my psp and im stuck on this firmware, and a downgrader is never coming out.....i wasted my money on a 2 GB memory stik, whhat a waste, i cant do anything now...thanks arc for bringing my hoped doen

you wasted it either way...cause you cannot downgrade a psp using a 2GB+ ms0...150 wont recognize it.. :/

It was probably a fake video, like that stupid countdown that was supposedly Dark_Alex's. There would really be no reason to hold back on an upgrade, I'm sure he would want to be the first to release.
I've been messing around with mine trying to somehow downgrade but no luck so far (I can't program worth crap), and I'm sure I'm not the only one! I was trying to use the tiff exploit by replacing a real LocoRoco screenshot with it and loading it in the game, but no good. I also tried hex editing a updater, but also no good.
If everyone keeps trying eventually something WILL come out! I'm having fun playing some UMDs I bought, I don't mind paying for decent games, but I get really pissed when I fork out for junk (which is one of the reasons I'm waiting with everyone else).

ahahaa, YAYY i dun have to wait anymore =) i traded my psp, lmfao..now im stuck with 1.0 and need help updating to 1.5 cuz it doesnt work =( btw, my friend's FRIEND has a 3.4 downgrader, im not sure if its real, but it worked for him o_o im seriously, not bull crapping u guyz, u even showed me his psp, and it wuz downgraded, i cant buy it and share it to the world, because a) he wont let me b) ull think im totally bullcrapping c) it might be fake but it worked for him , so this all means there might already be a 3.4 downgrader out

Haha why bring it back? There is no FW!
My R-button is stuck all the time, and I don't feel like voiding my warranty to open it to fix it. I'm sure if I send it for repairs the thread will have to change IMO to 3.40 and stuck... LOL.
