I was playing GTA(UMD) on my PSP and suddenly when i press square(brake) bec. im riding a bike, it didnt respond and suddenly whatever button i press doesnt work! i tried to turn it off but even the power button doesnt respond. The game is still running and i can still here voices and sounds. I waited for 2mins before i decided to removed the battery to reboot it again, but it doesnt turn on!! my version is 2.00 btw and the warranty has already expired and worst, ITS NOT MINE!!i just borrowed it from my cousin and he's rich and im not! is it bricked?is there any way i can "un-bricked" it?in a not expensive way.in from the Philippines btw.

nah i doubt its bricked. cz you havent messed with the psp's main memory. but leave the batter out for a while, put it back in and try it.

i forgot to mention that my cousin downgraded it to 1.5 and i upgraded it to 2.00 using GTA:LCS. And also my cousins brother drops the PSP on the ground frequently. Can the motherboard be affected by it?

well if you took the battery out while upgrading then yes its bricked, and a hard knock would affect the power switch but i doubt the main flash

Well any1 who keeps dropping their PSP is just asking for trouble and thats pretty stupid however I dont think u bricked it.
GTA:LCS freezes sometimes yeah, just take out the battery hook the PSP straight up to the charger, leave it alone for like a day, put the battery back in and hold the power button up.
If your sure you didn't do anything to it and it bricked you should still be covered by the PSP's warranty not the store one so you could send it to Sony.

sorry i was in school. why do i need to charge my PSP without its battery?my classmate agreed that i need to take the battery out so the CMOS in the motherboard would reset so i can reboot it.
ill try the sony service center here if its free or charges minimal..got no money..
