Can anyonr tell me what good is clonedvd2? Everytime I tried to use it to make a copy of a dvd it wont do it saying it is a copy righted movie. Am I missing something?

Yes. The DVDs are copy protected and have to be decrypted and some even require cleaning after that. AnyDVD goes well with CloneDVD 2. The freeware RipIt4Me and Shrink do just as well. In fact the RipIt4Me has been doing a better job of bypassing some of the new copy protections. http://www.ripit4me.org/guide.html

I forgot. To do a backup you have to decrypt, then transcode and burn. CloneDVD 2 only transcodes and burns. You have to have other software to decrypt. So, you can see your problem and see what CloneDVD 2 is good for.
