How do i dummy the files i ripped?

As thread says how do i dummy the files i ripped out from a game? I've ripped out some music tracks from test drive unlimited so i wonder how do i dummy the files? is it necesary? the game freezes for me in the intro movie is that cuz i didnt dummy the files i ripped?

probably, anyhow u create a zero byte text file with the same name and extension of the file u ripped.

huh can u give me a better discription of how to do it please..and what do i do with the .txt file? do i place it in the folder i took the file from?

say the file is music.at3.........create a new text file, rename it to music.at3....make sure the icon changes tho to make sure the file extension took.

so i have a file called TRACK_75.AT3 do i make a new text file and change the text file to TRACK_75.TXT? or is it TRACK_75.AT3?

Here's what you do:

1. Open up Notepad. Click File --> Save As...
2. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.
3. Go to the File name box and type in "TRACK_75.AT3".
4. Go to the Save as type box and choose "All Files".
5. Click Save and close Notepad.
6. You will now have a 0 byte file named TRACK_75.AT3 in whatever folder you choose in step 2.

It has varying sucess rates mind, for example Digimon World will not run at all if anything is ripped from it. You can also get blank movie and sound files that contain 1 second of silence or a black screen, these can sometimes work it the text file method doesn't
