Is anyone having problem with their verbatim? ie. disc tray errors or media just stop working?

Since I switched to Verbatims I had the disc tray error, which was fixed using the rubberband and reflashing to 4.2b. Sometimes the media will not read after about 3-5 months of use. Im hearing some other people are have this same issue.

yeah, if you dont take care of the discs you will get disc read errors and the such, but as long as you keep them in a case you should have no problems

I took proper care of my disc, they just fail to read after awhile

hmm, i know after a while the dye will begin to fade, maybe thats whats happening to yours, if so burn a copy of it using Nero or the like

That's strange, Verbatim's are supposed to be the best to use for 360 backups. I use clone cd to burn. Most of my backups are intact but a small percentage seem to degrade quickly.
