hi there,
downloaded a movie and its in a bin, cue file. when i tried loading the bin file and doing the raw data thing (using nero) it didnt work and the cd would not play in my pc at all. so now im tryin the cue file, one prob though (which is a recurring problem) when i load the cue file i get 2 tracks instead of one. They are both duplicates and then i cant fit the movie on the cd. for some reason when i load cue files for movies this always happens. please help.

I eventually got something to work, when i load the cd up i get a dat file. but TMPGEnc wont load this and windows media player wont view it. is there anyway of convertin a .bin file to VCD? some .bin files work through TMPGEnc and DVD2AVI but this one doesnt.

You can use VCDGear to extract the Mpeg from the bin file and then use a prog such as Power DVD to view the file on your PC or burn the mpeg to CD.

You can download VCDGear from the software setion of this website.

My question was, what software did you use to view it?

you're supposed to burn as an image...bin cue's are not for viewing, using Nero go to file, burn image, then find the cue file, choose up to 24x, i recommend no more than 24x for compatibility issues in some dvd players. also, you can use iso buster to rip the mpeg from it.

I've read through a lot of these threads, so hopefully I haven't missed anything. I have downloaded several .bin files with no .cue files. I used CueMaker 2.4 to make a .cue code for the .bin. I have tried several things:

BinChunker 1.7 - when I load the .cue into BinChunker, it says that I have two tracks as follows:
[Trck][ImageFileMode][Pause][MB][Sec][Start] [End]
1 Mode2/2352 0 1 300 0 705600
2 Mode2/2352 150 835 355217 705600 836175948

When I used to run BinChunker a couple years ago it would only give me one track and one .iso file would result. Now I get two .iso files. One file is 600 kb and the other is 800 mb.

I try to pull up the .iso files using UltraISO 6.52 SR-1 and the 600 kb file comes up fine with three folders . . . EXT, MGEG2 and SVCD (which I'm assuming are the folders for an SVCD like I have seen in Nero). When I try to pull up the 800 mb .iso file in UltraISO, I get an error "ISO 9660 Volume not Found!" I'm assuming the volume is contained in the 600 kb file.

I have tried two things to bypass BinChunker. Burning directly with Nero 5.5.9.24 and Alchol 120%. In each instance, I load the .cue that I made from CueMaker 2.4 and try to burn. The .iso burns to completion, but the file is not recognized by my DVD and only reads to a size of 600 kb (so it is safe to say the 800 mb portion is not getting burned).

Alchol 120% - I click on "Image Burning Wizard" and load my .cue from the browse menu. Again, in my session, I get two tracks:
Track01: Mode 2 Form 1 Length: 00300(600KB), ad 000 Track02: Mode 2 Form 2 Length: 355067(693.5MB), ad 450

Write method was set to DAO / SAO and datatype was "Customize". The burn process goes to completion and my CD drive only reads a 600kb disc

Nero 5.5.9.24 - I load the .cue after selecting "Burn Image" in the "File" menu. Again, Nero tells me I have 2 tracks:
[Track No.][Kind of track][Size of Track]
1 Data (Mode 2) 1 MB (600 KB)
2 Data (Mode 2) 693 MB (710,134 KB)

Again, if I burn under Nero, I get the same results as in Alcohol 120% . . . a complete CD, where windows only recognizes the disc as a 600 kb file.

Any suggestions?
