almost every game starts then crashes with black screen. Using 310 OE-A

My brother is using 310 OE-A. That's just to let you know what firmware. It hasn't worked with any other firmware either.

After placing ISO's in the ISO folder on the root, the game will show up in the menu. When he goes to play it though, he gets the psp splash screen and then just goes black. Thats it.

Anybody have any ideas why?

Have you got no umd option enabled ?

yeah that was it. I told him to disable that option and use a umd in the drive. Viola!
