psp wont turn on

I put in a game and it said i need to update my psp.so i went to update and tried to update it.the psp said the update failed.then i pressed cancel and the psp shut off. now it wont turn on. the on light turns on for about ten seconds,but thats all. please help, thanks

What do you mean failed? And first of all what firmware do you have and did you take out the memory stick or something stupid like take out the UMD while upgrading?

i mean that the updating did not work.after i tried updating it said it failed.i know its a lower version the 2.82. No, i didnt do anything stupid such as you said.

Did you have 2.71 SE on your PSP before you tried upgrading it?
Xbox 360: Slim untouched with a faked 320 GB harddrive for XBL, phat with LT 3.0, played Halo early, so going on live would be an instand ban, also with a faked 320 GB harddrive
PS3: Untouched 160 GB Slim, 60 GB Fat with latest Rogero and 160 GB internal harddrive.
PSVita: hardly ever play it
GameCube: Black with a Viper chip installed. With gameboy player. Trying to get a Wavebird controller.

Did you do any flashing to you psp before you ran the game?
And what firmware do you have?

I am not tottaly sure what firmware i have.It might be 2.71 se.No i did not have any flashing.

Doesn't matter even if u had custom firmware, when u cut power to a update, update fails, anything like that, you have a permanent permanent. you have 2 options :
1.) Undiluted Platinum Modchip - Economically retarded
2.) Buy a new motherboard
ONLY TWO OPTIONS

Ok ur best bet would be motherboard. It's what u screwed up on your psp and is causing it to not boot. Buying that would be the to revive it. The best way. About 80 bux, and then cost for labor :D
